CWX LES GETS

While the weather made headlines, and played havoc for the organisers at Crankworx Les Gets, the show must go on, and what it show it was...

Our man Keegan Wright continued his good form on the pumptrack, and made the Top 16 in a stacked field in France. In the end, seasoned Pro and fellow POC athlete, Martin Soderstrom knocked Keegan out to advance to the Top 8.

Conditions for the DH got worse and worse as the festival went on, with the course reduced to massive muddy ruts, it was a lottery getting down the course in one piece, and the mechanics were flat out cleaning, replacing bearings, and trying to keep bikes in working order for the riders.

Come race day, most of the field had reverted to flat pedals. The Sun finally came out, but that just turned the mud into the kind of thick, sticky muck, that clogs everything up to the point that even derailleurs were breaking off! In short, the course became a quagmire.

Unfortunately due to the conditions, Keegan had mechanical issues, but young Cole Lucas' Intense M16 was still running sweet, and he navigated his way down the course to take 6th place in Junior Men.

The boys will be competing again next weekend at Lenzerheide, Switzerland for Round 5 of the World Cup, all the best lads!
