Backing The Future Of Downhill: Get To Know Mason, Keira, and Noah!
The future of mountain biking starts with the next generation, which is why Wide Open has a long history of supporting emerging talent. We're proud to back young riders who live and breathe the sport - giving them the gear they need to chase their dreams (and have fun doing it!).
This year, we're stoked to support three seriously talented downhill riders as part of the Wide Open family: Mason Parr, Keira Burborough Murphy and Noah Evans. Get to know them below:

Meet mason parr
Mason’s riding story started with motorbikes, before picking up a mountain bike at age eight - a hardtail his parents bought that kicked off his love for two wheels. You'll now find him hitting dream line in Queenstown, or his favourite, the Canadian Open in Whistler for the fast open tech sections, jumps and bike park turns.

Meet Kiera Burborough Murphy
Keira’s been around bikes her whole life but her real love for mountain biking began during the COVID lockdown, building wooden jumps with her neighbours. Now, she’s chasing the thrill of downhill racing, pushing herself on the toughest features - including the 60-foot river line that had her shaking (and stoked) all day. Her favourite trail? Te Ruru - full of roots, variety, and that unbeatable “pumped” feeling at the bottom.

Meet Noah Evans
For Noah, it all started at five years old - watching his stepdad Jake ride, inspired him to get out in the forest too. He’s been hooked ever since. His local track, Taniwha, is where he’s most at home, but you’ll also catch him in Queenstown NZ - his favourite place in the world to ride!
Mason, Keira, and Noah are just a few of the riders we’re proud to be supporting - alongside many others we’ve backed over the years. At Wide Open, we’re all about supporting riders across every discipline - downhill, enduro, cross-country, and beyond - helping them grow, progress, and keep doing what they love most: riding bikes.
